Night drone strike damages infrastructure in Odesa region

On the night of 18 January, Russian drones attacked energy, gas and residential infrastructure facilities in the Odesa region. According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, one person was injured as a result of the strikes, and rescue workers extinguished the fires that broke out after the strikes.

As a result of the shelling, two apartments in a multi-storey building were damaged, windows in neighbouring buildings were broken, gas and energy equipment was partially damaged, as well as several cars. Firefighters worked at the sites of the strikes to extinguish the fires and ensure the safety of residents in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

Local services report that strike drones also damaged critical infrastructure, affecting gas and electricity supplies in some settlements in the region. Work is ongoing to repair the damage and restore the damaged facilities.
