More Than 16 Million Grades Generated Through the Mriya Ecosystem

Key points:
   •   The state-run Mriya education ecosystem has automated semester grading in schools
   •   More than 16 million grades were generated without manual calculations
   •   Teachers reduced hours of routine work at the end of the semester
   •   Parents and students can access learning results online
   •   The service is free and available to all educational institutions

The end of the semester is traditionally one of the most demanding periods for teachers due to the large volume of routine tasks. Calculating final grades for dozens of students across several classes usually takes hours and requires maximum attention. Within the state education ecosystem Mriya, this process has been significantly simplified through automation.

According to educators’ estimates, manually calculating a single semester grade takes about half a minute. For a teacher working with several classes, this translates into more than an hour of continuous calculations. In Mriya, the system automatically summarizes learning outcomes and offers a ready-made grade, which the teacher can review, confirm, or adjust if necessary.

During the semester closeout, more than 16 million grades were automatically generated within the ecosystem. Around 70 percent of all semester grades were assigned using this mechanism. This approach reduces the workload for teachers and lowers the risk of mechanical errors, which is especially important for the New Ukrainian School, where the assessment system involves working with several groups of learning outcomes.

Automation also applies to final documents. Homeroom teachers can generate report cards and achievement certificates in digital format within minutes. Parents gain access to their child’s learning results through the app, where all data is collected in the “Portfolio” section—without paper documents or additional requests to the school.

The Mriya education ecosystem is free for schools, teachers, students, and parents. The project team supports educational institutions during onboarding, helps update data in state registries, and provides training for teachers and administrators. Support is available remotely, and a dedicated professional community has been created to facilitate experience sharing among educators.
