Key points:
- The “eYasla” program has been in effect in Ukraine since January 1, 2026
- Payments are intended for parents who return to full-time work after their child reaches one year of age
- Assistance is provided monthly until the child reaches three years of age
- Funds can be used for various legal childcare services
The state program “eYasla” is designed to support mothers and other legal representatives of children who combine parenthood with full-time employment. The program provides monthly financial assistance for childcare after the child reaches one year of age if the adult returns to full-time work.
The payment is granted from the month following the child’s first birthday and is provided until the child reaches the age of three. In 2026, the basic amount of assistance is 8,000 hryvnia per month. For families raising a child with a disability, the amount is increased to 12,000 hryvnia. If, as of the beginning of 2026, the child is not yet three years old, the right to receive the payment is retained from January 1.
You can apply for assistance through the regional offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. To do this, you must confirm the identity of the applicant, provide documents confirming the birth of the child and confirmation of full-time employment. Once the payment has been approved, the funds can be used to pay for childcare services, including private or public preschool education institutions, as well as official services provided by individuals who provide childcare in accordance with the law.
The “eYasla” program is part of a broader state policy to support working parents and aims to facilitate their return to work without losing access to quality childcare.
