A free online professional development course, “Gamification in Primary School: Learning Through Play”, is available for primary school teachers. This was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science.
The course focuses on game-based and gamified approaches to learning and helps make lessons more engaging and motivating for younger schoolchildren.
During the course, teachers will learn about:
- the basics of gamification;
- the psychology of games and the use of game mechanics in the learning process;
- how to integrate game elements into the lesson structure and receive practical examples for everyday use.
Participants will also learn how to use the “I study, I don’t wait” app as a tool for organising gamified learning.
The programme was developed by the Osvitoria public association with the support of War Child Alliance in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
