CHESNO launches the third wave of the Veteran Leadership Programme

The CHESNO Movement, in collaboration with the School of Public Administration at the Ukrainian Catholic University, has announced enrolment for the third wave of its certified Veteran Leadership Programme.

The programme is designed for veterans who aspire to become public figures and politicians at the community, regional or national level.

According to sociological surveys, almost 70% of Ukrainians support the participation of veterans in politics.

Programme participants will be able to gain knowledge in:

  • leadership,
  • state building,
  • lawmaking,
  • human rights,
  • local self-government
  • political communications.

One of the modules involves practising public speaking in the Suspilne TV studio and working on creating a politician’s personal brand.

Lectures will be given by representatives of CHESNO, leading lecturers from UCU, politicians, communications specialists and public figures.

The training will take place in the format of four compulsory offline modules at the UCU campus in Lviv:

  • the first module will take place on 12-14 March,
  • the second on 16-18 April,
  • the third on 28-30 May,
  • and the fourth on 18-20 June 2026.

The programme is free for selected participants, with the organisers providing accommodation, meals and travel expenses.

Applications for the third wave of the Veteran Leadership Programme can be submitted until 10 February 2026 by completing the online form. Selected candidates will undergo an additional online interview.
