In Ukraine, from 5 to 11 January 2026, more than 121,500 people fell ill with influenza, COVID-19 and other acute respiratory viral infections, according to the Ministry of Health.
Among those who fell ill were more than 65,900 adults and over 55,500 children, which is approximately 15% higher than the previous week’s figures.
360 cases among all patients were COVID-19, with the remaining cases related to influenza and other ARVI. Between 5 and 11 January, more than 4,800 patients were hospitalised with complications, of whom almost 2,600 were children.
In all regions of Ukraine, the incidence rate corresponds to the background level of ARVI intensity, with only the Lviv region recording a slight exceedance of the epidemic threshold.
Since the beginning of the epidemic season, which has been ongoing since 29 September 2025, more than 1.8 million people have contracted acute respiratory infections, and nearly 19,600 cases of COVID-19 have been registered.
