On 2 October 2025, mobile operators in Ukraine began blocking spam numbers, and in the first three months of operation, 59,071 numbers have already been blocked, according to Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
The number of unsolicited calls has decreased significantly, which has improved user comfort and personal data protection.
Spam calls usually come from companies that advertise goods or services without the subscriber’s consent.
The blocking mechanism works according to the following criteria:
- short call duration;
- lack of feedback;
- user complaints.
After verification, the operator blocks the number, and subscribers can also leave requests on the NKEK website for additional verification.
Vodafone, Kyivstar and lifecell users can report spam calls through apps or contact numbers of operators in Ukraine and abroad.
