Ukraine launches REDpreneur Women programme to support female entrepreneurs

The REDpreneur Women programme is being launched in Ukraine, aimed at expanding the economic rights and opportunities of women affected by the war through entrepreneurship development, training and mentoring support.

The initiative is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in cooperation with the Austrian Red Cross, with the support of Austrian partners – the Neighbour in Need Foundation and the Austrian Development Agency.

The project covers women from all over Ukraine, including:

  • internally displaced persons;
  • those who have lost their jobs or businesses;
  • single mothers;
  • women with disabilities;
  • female veterans.

The programme includes educational campaigns, training in entrepreneurial skills, opportunities for networking and collaboration with experienced entrepreneurs, and support for local social initiatives.

Participants will be able to gain practical knowledge in entrepreneurship, management, finance, marketing, and innovation, and the best business ideas will receive grant funding of €7,000 to start or develop their own business.

The project plans to engage more than 6,000 women across Ukraine through training events, workshops and support within RED HUB, the Ukrainian Red Cross’s innovative space that combines business education, practical support, mentoring and opportunities for joint growth.

This initiative aims to strengthen women’s economic capacity, create new jobs and encourage active participation in community recovery.
