Ukrainian lugers have earned 10 Olympic licences for the XXV Winter Olympic Games in 2026 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, which is a record number for independent Ukraine in the history of luge. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
The achievement includes participation in men’s and women’s singles and doubles sleds, as well as in the team relay.
Currently, the licences are not personalised, so the final composition of the team will be announced later after the decision of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
Ukraine will be represented in women’s doubles for the first time, and two Ukrainian crews will compete in men’s doubles.
