In 2025, the State Employment Service provided services to almost 39,000 people with disabilities, which is almost 9% more than in 2024. Most often, residents of Zhytomyr, Lviv, Cherkasy and Poltava regions sought help from the Service.
Thanks to the support of the Service, about 10,000 people were employed, which is 6.4% more than in the previous year. Most clients received unemployment status, more than 3,600 people underwent vocational training, about 2,100 joined public works, and 94% of clients used career guidance services.
Employers were most active in employing people with disabilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Lviv, and Cherkasy regions.
In addition, a survey of employers showed that 88% plan to hire people with disabilities in 2026.
Career development opportunities have increased significantly: 3,600 people underwent training at the expense of the service, which is 47% more than in 2024, and the number of training vouchers issued increased by 24% to 1,600. The number of participants in public and temporary work also increased by 24% to 2,300.
Compensation to employers for setting up inclusive workplaces in 2025 also increased by more than 26% – to 2,400 compensations for a total amount of UAH 184 million.
In 2026, the amount of compensation will increase: for disability group I – to UAH 129,705, for group II – to UAH 86,470.
