IREX has opened several grant competitions for Ukrainian civil society organizations. The programs cover the reintegration of veterans, the development of local services, and support for the prosthetics and rehabilitation system. The international organization IREX has announced a series of grant competitions for civil society organizations in Ukraine aimed at supporting veterans, developing local communities, and improving the rehabilitation system. The initiatives are being implemented as part of the Veterans Reintegration Program and the IREX Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund.

One of the competitions involves selecting a partner to implement a large-scale project with a budget of up to US$520,000. Its goal is to strengthen the capacity of local authorities to effectively plan, use, and monitor resources, develop cross-sectoral cooperation, and improve the quality of services for veterans through active community engagement and training programs. The deadline for applications is January 18, 2026.

A separate competition within the IREX Veterans Reintegration Program aims to expand access to comprehensive services for veterans and their families. These services include psychological support, employment assistance, legal advice, and the creation of safe spaces and support groups. As part of this initiative, up to two grants of up to $250,000 each are planned to be awarded. Applications will be accepted until February 1, 2026.

Another competition has been announced by the Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund IREX. It is focused on supporting two projects in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation for veterans and civilians who have been wounded as a result of the war. The priority is to implement sustainable models of prosthetics and rehabilitation before and after the installation of prostheses, develop a regulatory framework for state policy, and update training programs for specialists using international experience. The maximum amount of funding within the competition is $300,000, and the deadline for applications is January 26, 2026.

IREX notes that the new grant programs aim to strengthen systemic changes in the areas of veteran policy, rehabilitation, and social integration, as well as to support civil society organizations working on the most sensitive challenges caused by the war.
