The idea began to take shape when the entrepreneur registered with the Berdychiv branch of the Zhytomyr Regional Employment Center. It was there that Nataliia Melnychuk was informed about the state program “Own Business” and advised to contact the “Made in Ukraine” office to prepare a business plan. The consultations covered the financial model, profitability calculations, and project structuring.
As a result, the entrepreneur received a microgrant of 250,000 hryvnias. The funds were used to purchase a hydraulic press, equip a workspace, and create a workplace. A man with a disability was hired to work there, who was also found with the support of the employment service.
In a few months of operation, the enterprise collected and sorted more than 15 tons of secondary raw materials. Cooperation has been established with licensed processing plants in Zhytomyr and neighboring regions. Waste that previously ended up in landfills is now returned to circulation in the form of new goods.
The entrepreneur notes that the business idea arose from the everyday practice of sorting waste and the realization of the city’s need for an accessible recycling collection point. The project combines entrepreneurial activity with environmental and social components, creating a local infrastructure for responsible waste management.
