Ukraine is continuing its Veteran Sports programme, under which defenders can receive 1,500 UAH per quarter for physical activity, recovery and health care. Applications to participate in the programme can be submitted from 1 to 20 January 2026 via the Diya app.
The programme is aimed at veterans who want to return to physical activity at a pace and in a format that is comfortable for them. This includes not only training in gyms, but also swimming, yoga, breathing practices and other wellness activities that promote recovery after service and injuries.
Financial support is available to war veterans and persons with war-related disabilities whose data is entered in the Unified State Register of War Veterans and who have a verified taxpayer registration number. To receive funds, you must open a special Diia.Card account at one of the banks participating in the programme.
Those who already used the programme in the fourth quarter of 2025 and managed to use the funds will receive the next payment automatically without submitting a new application. Veterans who are joining the initiative for the first time need to apply for a Diia.Card directly in the app.
The funds are transferred automatically after the application is approved and can be used in sports clubs, fitness studios, and other health facilities that have joined the programme. A complete list of such establishments is available on the website of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The initiative is part of the Veterans Policy Strategy and the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine, developed on the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.
