Grants for early-stage women-led deep tech startups

The European Union is launching a competition under the Women TechEU program for startups founded by women or with women as co-founders. This project aims to unlock the potential of early-stage deep tech startups by offering grant funding of €75,000 and a tailored business development program, including mentorship, coaching, and specialized training for women entrepreneurs.

The program includes 7 services provided to participants over 6 months:

  • 6 meetings with female mentors;
  • Investor outreach and pitch preparation;
  • Investor and export readiness assessment;
  • Soft skills training;
  • Sales strategy and execution;
  • Environmental impact assessment;
  • Corporate access to the EIT KIC platform.

At the time of application, each participant must select 3 services from the list.

To participate in the competition, the companies must meet the following criteria:

  • Deep tech startups at an early stage, with women founders or co-founders holding executive positions (CEO, CTO);
  • At least 25% of the company’s shares are owned by women;
  • Startups registered and established in an EU member state or an Horizon Europe associated country (including Ukraine) for at least 6 months and no more than 8 years by the application deadline;
  • Classified as small or medium-sized enterprises and in the stage of achieving a high-quality minimum viable product;
  • Have secured limited funding (up to €1 million in own funds).

To participate in the competition, you need to register via the provided link. The application deadline is September 30, 2024.

We have already mentioned that, according to recent studies, there is one divorce for every five marriages in Ukraine.
