Diya.Education launches AI mentor for personalized learning

Key points:

  • Diya.Education integrates artificial intelligence tools into the learning process
  • An AI mentor for personalized learning has appeared on the platform
  • The solution is based on the Gemini language model and was developed in collaboration with Google.org
  • The tool helps users better understand the material and complete courses

The national educational platform Diya.Education has begun integrating artificial intelligence tools to personalize learning. The first such solution was an AI mentor — a digital advisor that accompanies users as they work through educational materials and helps them better absorb knowledge.

The tool was created using the Gemini language model in collaboration with Google.org. The AI mentor works directly within the platform’s educational products and responds to user requests during the learning process. It explains complex terms in simple language, summarizes the content of lessons, and helps create short notes with key ideas.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation notes that the introduction of AI solutions was a response to changing educational needs among adults. According to research, by 2025, the number of people who do not have a clear understanding of how and why to learn will have increased. Personalized support should reduce this barrier and shorten the path from knowledge to practical skills.

The AI mentor is available to users after authorization on the Diya.Osvita platform and works within educational series, simulators, guides, and short training formats. The tool is expected to help increase course completion rates and reduce loss of motivation during training.

The launch of the AI mentor is part of a broader platform development strategy. The next step will be the introduction of an AI guide — a tool for navigating more than 700 educational products and creating individual learning paths.

Dія.Освіта is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with the support of Google.org. The platform’s strategic partner is the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation.
