Grants of up to 4.6 million UAH for innovative projects from The Swedish Institute

The Swedish Institute has announced a new open call for grants for Ukrainian and Swedish organisations aimed at supporting the development of innovative solutions, digital technologies, transparent governance and gender equality in Ukraine. This initiative aims to expand cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden, strengthen the capacity of local organisations, promote knowledge sharing and facilitate our country’s integration into the European Union.

The grant competition runs from 5 December 2025 to 2 March 2026. Participants can submit projects in three thematic areas: developing innovative ecosystems to support entrepreneurship and digital transformation, transparency and accountability initiatives, and projects that promote gender equality and inclusion.

The competition offers two types of financial support. The first option covers grants for preparatory activities, exchange of experience, networking and preparation of new projects with the possibility of implementation within 6-12 months. The second type of grants is designed to build the capacity of organisations, training programmes, competence development and team mobility in the format of projects lasting up to 24 months.

Higher education institutions, research institutes, non-governmental organisations, foundations, local authorities, companies and other interested partners are eligible to participate in the competition. Projects must be in the form of cooperation between a Swedish legal entity and at least one Ukrainian partner.

The programme includes online seminars and information sessions where organisations can learn about the conditions for participation and the application procedure. The competition is part of a broader strategy to support Ukraine’s reconstruction, the development of an innovative economy and technological partnership between the two countries.
