To enable more organizations to showcase the best Ukrainian practices in business support, the deadline for submitting applications for the Ukrainian Enterprise Promotion Awards 2024 (UEPA) has been extended to August 18, 2024.
The UEPA award is the Ukrainian national stage of the selection process for the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA). The UEPA award recognizes the authors of initiatives that contribute to the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises at the national, regional, and local levels. Additionally, within the framework of the UEPA, businesses will have the opportunity to be awarded. The victory of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises will be determined based on leading practices exclusively in the category “Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship” provided that the project competing for the award is not the main activity of the SME.
The following entities are invited to submit applications for the UEPA:
- National-level organizations;
- Regional, municipal, and local governments;
- Public-private partnerships between governmental authorities and private sector entities;
- Educational programs and initiatives;
- Business enterprises (with micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises eligible exclusively for the “Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship” category);
- Cross-border collaborations (provided that a joint nomination is submitted by all involved countries).
Applications will be assessed by a Ukrainian jury against standardized European EEPA criteria, with only initiatives operating for a minimum of 15 months being considered.
Selection criteria include:
- Originality, practical implementation, and innovation of the project;
- Positive impact on the local economy;
- Relationships with local stakeholders;
- Possibility of replication and scaling the project in other countries.
Within UEPA, candidates will be selected in the following categories:
- Fostering entrepreneurial spirit
- Investing in entrepreneurial skills
- Supporting digital technologies
- Improving the business environment and supporting business internationalization
- Supporting sustainable transformation
- Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship
Additionally, a grand prize will be awarded at the national competition for the most creative and inspiring entrepreneurial initiative. Winning the grand prize does not allow participation in the European part of the competition. Two winners of the national UEPA award, selected by the Ukrainian jury, will participate in the European EERA award ceremony in November 2024.
On August 21, 2024, representatives of the award’s organizing committee will notify participants about the selection results for pitching. The final project presentations will take place online on August 26, 2024, during which the jury will determine the winners in 6 categories and the “Grand Prize,” as well as nominees for the European award.
To participate in the national selection, you need to fill out an application form. The deadline for submitting applications is August 18, 2024.
