The flagship train “Hutsulshchyna” No. 95/96, which runs between Kyiv and Yasinya, now goes to Rakhiv. The decision to extend the route was made taking into account passenger requests. The changes came into effect on 28 December.

The updated route includes a stop at Kvasy station. This makes rail travel more convenient for travellers planning trips to the highlands of Zakarpattia. Kvasy is known for its mineral springs and recreational potential, while Rakhiv has the status of the highest mountain town in Ukraine and is a popular destination for mountain tourism and active recreation in the Carpathians.

Rakhiv remains one of the key tourist regions of the country during the winter season. The extension of the Hutsulshchyna train route simplifies access to mountain locations and expands opportunities for rail travel from central Ukraine.

In addition to train No. 95/96, trains No. 143/144 Sumy — Rakhiv and No. 55/56 Kyiv — Rakhiv also run to Rakhiv. The suburban diesel train No. 6441/6442 continues to run between Kolomyia and Dilove.
