Compensation is provided for car owners who have an electronic veteran ID card in action and meet the established conditions of the program. This applies to MTPL agreements concluded after January 1, 2025, valid at the time of application and issued for vehicles not used in business activities. The technical parameters of the car are also taken into account when considering the application.

The compensation mechanism provides for full coverage of the policy cost. Half of the amount is immediately deducted by the insurance company as a benefit, and the other half is compensated by the state from the budget. As a result, veterans do not actually incur any expenses for motor vehicle insurance, and compensation is provided transparently through digital tools.

MTPL remains a mandatory element of road safety and complies with European standards of insurance protection. The introduction of compensation is seen as an additional tool for state support for veterans returning to civilian life.
