On December 23, 2025, the KIT pavilion at the VDNG in Kyiv will host the event “Family Christmas for Every Child,” which will be the largest Christmas dinner for families who have taken children into their families. The event will bring together foster families, guardians, and caregivers from different regions of the country, including Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zakarpattia, Volyn, and Lviv.
About fifty families will gather at a shared festive table several hundred meters long. The format of the event is designed to emphasize the importance of family upbringing and support for children who, for various reasons, have been left without parental care. The organizers emphasize that it is crucial for every child to have the opportunity to grow up in a family and feel the stable care of adults.

The initiator of the event, Kateryna Osadcha, notes that the Christmas dinner has not only symbolic but also practical significance, as public attention to the topic of family forms of upbringing can help children find their parents. According to her, the idea behind the event is to create a space where there are no “strange” children, and every story is heard and important.
The evening’s program includes meetings with famous Ukrainian figures, athletes, and artists, creative performances, master classes, traditional Christmas dishes, and a joint caroling session with families and children who have already found their families. The event aims not only to celebrate, but also to foster public dialogue around responsible parenting and family support.
The event is being organized by the Kateryna Osadcha Foundation with the participation of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Child Care, and UNICEF in Ukraine. Partnership support is provided by representatives of business, government agencies, and the media.
