Grant support for Ukrainian communities in the field of human rights and humanitarian work

The German-Swiss human rights organisation LIBERECO – Partnership for Human Rights has announced a new call for proposals for Ukrainian civil society initiatives working at the intersection of human rights and humanitarian aid. As part of the Call for Proposals: Human Rights x Humanitarian Action competition, the organisation invites proposals from local and civil society organisations that support vulnerable communities, including displaced persons, children, people with disabilities and other groups affected by the war.

LIBERECO is an independent non-profit organisation operating on the basis of cooperation between Germany and Switzerland and working to protect human rights in Ukraine and Belarus. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the organisation has significantly expanded its humanitarian and psychosocial programmes to support civilians affected by the war.

Charitable organisations registered in Ukraine and closely connected with local communities are eligible to participate in the new competition. The project implementation period is up to six months, with potential support for up to three initiatives, each of which can receive a grant of up to €10,000. Selected participants will also have access to coaching on project management, monitoring and reporting, as well as psychosocial support for staff and volunteers.

The organisers expect that the projects submitted will have clearly defined needs, meet human rights standards and demonstrate effective approaches to community support. Application documents are available in English and Ukrainian, and applications must be submitted by email by 12 January 2026.
