Ukraine is currently accepting applications for the 19th National Charity Ukraine 2025 competition, which annually recognizes the most effective charitable initiatives, volunteers, charitable organizations, and socially responsible businesses. In 2025, the competition will be held for the fourth time under the slogan “Charity in Defense of Ukraine.” In the context of full-scale war, charitable activities have become an important component of the country’s resilience, uniting citizens, businesses, and organizations in Ukraine and abroad. The competition aims to publicly recognize the contribution of those who systematically help the army, the civilian population, communities, and the state.
Volunteers, philanthropists, public and charitable organizations, youth associations, media, and socially responsible businesses are invited to participate. Both participants in charitable activities and recipients of assistance can submit applications. Government agencies and political parties do not participate, but they can submit nominees.
The competition covers 28 nominations, including charity in the fields of defense, health care, education, culture, ecology, corporate and regional charity, innovative initiatives, and individual awards for philanthropist, volunteer, and manager of the year. Individual winners are determined through expert evaluation and online voting.
Applications for participation are accepted until April 29, 2026. The evaluation will be carried out by the National Expert Council, and the award ceremony will take place in June 2026 in Kyiv. The winners will receive the symbol of the competition — a ceramic statuette “Angel of Good” and diplomas.
Over the years of the competition’s existence, more than 11,000 applications have been submitted and hundreds of charitable initiatives from all over Ukraine and abroad have been recognized. The organizers emphasize that “Charitable Ukraine” is not only a competition but also a platform for the development of a culture of charity, partnership, and social responsibility.
