Scholarship for civil society activists to strengthen civil society

House of Europe is launching a new call for applications for the programme “Grants for Civil Society Activists: Engaging Communities”. Applications will be accepted until 30 December 2025 — this is an opportunity to receive €5,000 for the implementation of initiatives aimed at strengthening communities in various cities in Ukraine and the EU.

The programme supports projects that help engage citizens in decision-making, develop media literacy, ensure cybersecurity, create educational platforms, organise training sessions, seminars, workshops, or conduct study trips to Europe for activists.

Funding covers not only logistics costs, but also the costs of events, promotional activities, venue rental, accounting and legal services, provided that these costs do not exceed 10% of the total budget.

The programme is designed for individuals — activists from civil society organisations or people who already have experience in civic engagement and want to expand their participation. Requirements include Ukrainian citizenship (or citizenship of partner countries), English language proficiency (at B1 level) and a desire to join the programme’s alumni community.
