An updated computer science course for Ukrainian schoolchildren in grades 1 to 11 is now available on a separate module of Diya.Education. IT studios are now publicly available — a modern format for teaching digital skills that allows every child to learn technology regardless of where they live or how they study.
The programme covers digital literacy, the basics of safe online behaviour, computational thinking, programming, data analysis, modelling, media creativity, and an introduction to artificial intelligence. All materials are based on practical tasks that allow students to apply their knowledge in real-life situations.

IT studios contain interactive lessons, animated videos, and explanatory materials. Students create their own digital products — from simple programmes or visual stories to data-driven projects. Teachers receive ready-made materials for conducting classes, tools for planning, assigning and assessing tasks, as well as the ability to track the progress of the class. Parents can see their children’s results in their account and can support their learning without having to search for additional materials.
According to a 2025 study on the digital and AI literacy of Ukrainians, 56% of citizens consider the development of digital skills to be important for life. This confirms the relevance of the project and its significance for the education system.
The IT studio pilot project began in 2022 and covered 50 schools in cities, towns and villages. More than 3,000 students and 70 teachers took part. According to the test results, 95% of teachers are ready to recommend IT studios to their colleagues, as the materials cover 70-100% of lesson requirements, particularly in a remote format.
Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science emphasise that the current pace of technological development requires new approaches to learning. The updated computer science curriculum should help schoolchildren not only use technology, but also create it, work with AI, and confidently move forward on the path of innovation. IT studios are already being integrated into school curricula and are available online to anyone interested at it-osvita.diia.gov.ua
