Applications for the winter one-time payment of 6,500 hryvnia are still being accepted in Ukraine. The programme was launched on 21 November and quickly gained momentum. The support is aimed at the most vulnerable segments of the population who need additional protection during the cold season.

As of 2 December, Ukrainians had submitted 293,941 applications. The vast majority of applications — 292,862 — were submitted through the Diya app. Another 1,112 applications were processed by the service centres of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Confirmation has already been received for 51,931 applications, and this number is growing.

Applications can be submitted until 17 December. Children from low-income families, internally displaced persons, orphans and children in care, children with disabilities in foster families, internally displaced persons with Group I disabilities, and single pensioners with a pension of up to 9,444 UAH who receive a care allowance are eligible for assistance.

For users of Diia, the process is as simple as possible: just update the app, go to the Winter Support service, and submit an application by specifying your Diia Card or opening it online. Those who do not use digital services can submit an application at the Pension Fund service centre, where they will help you fill out the documents and, if necessary, open a card with a special usage mode.

The payment is transferred to the Diya Card or another special card, after which the funds can be used for six months. The state has set a clear goal — to support people in purchasing warm clothes, medicines, and vitamins necessary for the winter period. This year, more than 660,000 Ukrainians are expected to receive assistance. The state budget has allocated UAH 4.3 billion for these payments.
