Grants of $5,000 for businesses that employ people from vulnerable groups

Micro and small enterprises in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions can receive financial support of up to $5,000 if they employ people from vulnerable groups. The programme is being implemented as part of the VIDNOVA project, which is funded by the Swiss government through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The initiative aims to enable businesses to create safer and more comfortable working conditions and to expand opportunities for people facing barriers in the labour market.

Businesses can use the grant funds to purchase equipment, modernise workplaces, upgrade employee skills, or meet other needs that will help strengthen the sustainability of companies while supporting inclusive employment. The organisers note that the programme is aimed at businesses that already employ people from vulnerable groups or plan to do so in the near future.

Applications can be submitted by sole proprietors and legal entities from two regions where communities are experiencing a high level of economic stress due to the war. Applicants must describe how the grant will affect the development of their enterprise and how it will improve working conditions for employees. The evaluation focuses on the practicality of the proposed solutions and the sustainability of the results. Applications will be accepted until 21 December 2025.
