NGO “Girls” implements comprehensive and large-scale projects focused on supporting and expanding the rights and opportunities of girls and women in Ukraine. They provide expertise in sexual education and prevention of gender-based violence, as well as promoting visibility for women’s leadership in Ukraine. Additionally, NGO “Girls” engages women in expanding economic opportunities, including promoting and strengthening women’s entrepreneurship.
Throughout the war, NGO “Girls” has provided a wide range of psychological, legal, and humanitarian aid. They have also created child-friendly spaces and rehabilitation centers, especially for those affected by the war. The organization continually works on providing other forms of practical support to survivors of sexual violence.

History:
NGO “Girls” was founded by Yulia Sporysh in Kyiv in 2016 following her personal experience with insufficient preparation for motherhood. The organization specializes in educating girls about female physiology and health, particularly through lectures and the “Health Without Shame” program. With support from UNICEF, they expanded their activities to provide information and psychological support to teenagers and women, especially in the context of the war from 2022. NGO “Girls” remains active in humanitarian projects and continues to support affected regions in Ukraine. Since 2024, it has been a member of the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations.
