Search and rescue operations are continuing in Ternopil after a Russian strike caused widespread destruction. As of the morning of 20 November, the casualty figures remain unchanged. Twenty-six people were killed, including three children. Ninety-three citizens were injured, including 18 children. Rescuers were able to save 46 people.

State Emergency Service units worked through the night. More than 700 square metres of rubble have been cleared from the site, and about 230 cubic metres of destroyed structures have been removed. The search for people whose whereabouts are still unknown continues.
Work is progressing slowly due to the high fragmentation of structures and the nature of the destruction, which forces some areas to be processed manually. Forces from nine regions of Ukraine are involved in the operation — more than 230 rescuers and 50 pieces of equipment.
