Epidemic situation in Ukraine. The incidence of ARVI did not exceed the threshold in any region

During the week of November 10-16, 2025, 109,645 people in Ukraine fell ill with influenza, COVID-19, and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). Children accounted for a significant proportion of these cases, with 62,698 cases. Although the total number of cases increased by 2.7% compared to the previous week, the epidemiological threshold was not exceeded in any region of the country. The situation is assessed as completely stable.

During the reporting week, 2,712 adults and 1,584 children were hospitalized. All patients received the necessary medical care.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season, namely from September 29 to November 16, 2025, 835,850 people have had ARVI. This is 3.3% more than during the same period last year. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases during this period was 16,320, which is 2.0% of all registered cases of ARVI.

To respond appropriately at the first signs of illness, it is important to know the difference in symptoms. Influenza often begins with a sudden rise in temperature, followed by a cough, runny nose, or sore throat. COVID-19, on the other hand, usually starts with respiratory symptoms, and fever may occur later.

Doctors emphasize that self-medication is unacceptable. At the first symptoms of SARS, you should consult your family doctor. Patients should take care of the safety of those around them: stay at home, use individual dishes, and wash their hands thoroughly.

Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19. The vaccine is free and is especially recommended for people in high-risk groups. You can get the vaccine from your family doctor or at vaccination points at medical facilities. Currently, all regions have a sufficient supply of free vaccines. To ensure access to vaccinations, mobile teams from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continue to work in remote communities.
