Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe is an international humanitarian organization that has been providing aid to those in need since 1981. Over its 41 years of existence, it has implemented 83 projects in 25 countries around the world.

Activities:
Through projects aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, the organization helps foster the development of the agricultural sector in the country. With long-term projects, Help aims to enable those in need to take care of themselves. The organization collaborates with local partner organizations and involves local project participants in planning and implementing programs. This helps strengthen the civil society in Ukraine. Given the challenging socio-economic situation in Ukraine, Help supports businesses, particularly in the agricultural sector.
In addition to providing emergency aid, Help conducts projects on reconstruction, assistance to internally displaced persons, ensuring heating, food security, and healthcare.

History:
Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe was founded in 1981 to support Afghan refugees. In 2021, Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe began its activities in Ukraine with a primary focus on developing small and medium-sized businesses in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. However, with the onset of the full-scale invasion, the organization shifted its focus to providing urgent assistance to populations affected by the war throughout Ukraine.
Help provides emergency aid, including food and hygiene kits, hot meals, and multi-purpose cash assistance. As the situation stabilizes in Ukraine, Help is gradually returning to its economic development projects.
