The situation with influenza and COVID-19 incidence remains stable in Ukraine

The Ministry of Health reports that the epidemic situation in Ukraine remains stable. According to epidemiological surveillance data, between 3 and 9 November, 106,789 people fell ill with influenza, COVID-19 and other acute respiratory infections, including 58,753 children. A total of 2,676 patients were hospitalised, including 1,412 children. All of them received the necessary medical care.

The epidemic threshold has not been exceeded in any region of the country. Compared to the previous week, the number of patients decreased by 2%.

The Ministry of Health reminds that vaccination against COVID-19 is free and recommended for people in risk groups. Vaccinations can be done by your family doctor or at a vaccination point at a medical facility. More than 400,000 doses of the Omicron-specific Comirnaty (Pfizer) vaccine for adults and children are currently available in Ukraine.

Mobile teams from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention continue to visit remote communities to ensure access to vaccination. Their work schedule can be found at the CDC in your region or on the official social media pages of the institutions.
