In the village of Borodianka in the Kyiv region, comprehensive restoration of houses damaged during Russian shelling is underway. One of them is a five-storey building at 308 Tsentralna Street, which suffered significant damage in March 2022. Once the work is complete, residents will be able to return to their homes, according to the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development.
Builders are currently completing the final stages of the work, including finishing the entrance areas, landscaping the surrounding area, and installing barrier-free elements such as foundations for ramps and lifts.
Previously, the main external and thermal insulation work had already been completed at the site: the facade has been insulated, the roof, plinth and pavement have been repaired, the attic and basement ceiling have been renovated, windows and balconies have been replaced (with the consent of the owners), and the gas pipe has been relocated and the ventilation duct covers have been renovated.
The interior decoration of the common areas is 90% complete. After the final stage is completed, the building will once again become a cosy home for 40 Ukrainian families.
