Teenagers Can Now Use Diia from the Age of 14

Ukrainians aged 14 and older can now fully use the state mobile application Diia. The decision was approved by the government, according to Taras Melnychuk, the Cabinet of Ministers’ representative in the Verkhovna Rada.

The new regulation allows teenagers to complete electronic identification in Diia, as citizens receive their tax identification number at the age of 14 — a requirement for verifying identity in the system. This change gives young users access to selected government services and digital documents.

The government also introduced rules governing the use of artificial intelligence on the Diia portal. AI-powered tools will assist users in finding information and make it easier to access online services. At the same time, restrictions have been imposed on the use of bots and automated scripts that input or collect data within the service, enhancing platform security and user protection.
