The Schoolchild Package state program continues to be actively implemented throughout Ukraine. As of now, over 78% of the planned amount has been financed, which is 956 million hryvnias for more than 188,000 families. In the latest wave of payments alone, almost 20,000 families received assistance.
In total, Ukrainians have submitted over 238,000 applications, which is 94% of the planned number. Over 193,000 have already been approved, some of which have been funded, while others are being prepared for payment. Another 5,000 applications are currently being reviewed by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The “Schoolchild Package” is a one-time cash benefit of 5,000 hryvnia for families whose children started first grade this year. The funds can be used to purchase school clothes, shoes, stationery, textbooks, and everything else needed for school. According to official data, Ukrainian families have already spent more than 619 million hryvnias, mostly on children’s clothing.

You can pay for goods via an online platform that brings together more than 27,000 stores across the country. The list of these retail outlets is not exhaustive, but it guarantees the possibility of payment under the program.
You can submit an application in two ways: online via the Diya app, or in writing at the service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Most families choose online registration. Almost 203,000 applicants did so. More than 35,000 used the paper option.
To apply for assistance online, you need to update the Diya app, have a biometric document (ID card or foreign passport), and a tax number. After signing the application via Diya.Sign, the funds are transferred to Diya.Card.
Offline applications are submitted to the nearest Pension Fund office, presenting a passport, identification code, and, if necessary, documents confirming the representative’s authority over the child.
The Schoolchild Package program will run until November 15, 2025. Applications can be submitted until that date, and the funds received must be used within 180 days after crediting.
