The state agency for gambling regulation, PlayCity, has announced the successful blocking of 33 accounts on TikTok that were spreading illegal casino advertising and violating Ukrainian law. The total audience of these profiles exceeded 365,000 subscribers. Another 20 pages with over 625,000 subscribers are currently under review.
According to the agency’s head, Gennady Novikov, the fight against illegal advertising on TikTok has intensified significantly after establishing ongoing cooperation with the platform. Whereas previously complaints were considered for weeks, now violators are blocked within a few days.

PlayCity also continues its partnership with Meta. As part of joint efforts, 54 Instagram pages that illegally promoted gambling and misled users have already been blocked.
According to agency representatives, the main goal of such actions is to ensure a safe digital space for Ukrainians and prevent the spread of illegal schemes on social networks. Content monitoring continues — experts check not only TikTok and Instagram, but also other popular platforms, including streaming services and video hosting sites.
PlayCity emphasizes that it will continue to strengthen cooperation with global technology companies to minimize the appearance of illegal gambling advertisements in the Ukrainian online space.
