The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has provided 17 generators with a capacity of 27 to 88 kW to food producers from Dnipropetrovs’k, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
These generators will help entrepreneurs continue their operations during power outages and thus ensure stable food production even in difficult conditions.
In total, 245 generators with a capacity of up to 440 kW will be provided to small and medium-sized enterprises under the program of FAO, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the German government. 114 generators are already working to promote food security, and another 131 will be delivered in the coming weeks.
Together with its partners, the UN is strengthening the resilience of Ukraine’s agri-food systems and ensuring that entrepreneurs have access to the tools they need to operate sustainably.
