After a combined night strike by Russian troops on Kyiv, the number of victims rose to 19, including five children. This was reported by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, four children and five adults are currently in hospitals, while others are receiving outpatient care. Doctors continue to work with the victims, and rescuers are clearing up the aftermath of the shelling in several areas of the capital.

On the night of 22 October, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on Ukraine, using missiles and strike drones. Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and a number of other regions were hit.
In the Kyiv region, private houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the shelling. There are reports of casualties, including a young woman, a six-month-old baby, and a twelve-year-old girl. In the Brovary district, a man born in 1987 was fatally injured by debris.

Other regions were also affected by the night attack. In Zaporizhzhia, more than ten people were injured, and rescuers evacuated residents from dangerous areas. About two thousand people were left without electricity.
In the Odesa region, Izmail and its port and energy infrastructure came under fire. In the Kirovohrad region, 27 settlements were left without electricity as a result of the strikes. In the Poltava region, damage to oil and gas industry facilities was reported.
Ukrainian air defence forces continue to repel attacks and record the activity of enemy drones and missiles in various directions.
