A new Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications has been appointed in Ukraine — Tetiana Berezhna. At the same time, she took up the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy. The decision was supported by 266 MPs.

Prior to this, Tetiana Berezhna had been acting as head of the Ministry of Culture. She took up this position after the formation of Yulia Svyrydenko’s government in July 2025.

Berezhna has a law degree and many years of experience in the public sector. In June 2022, she became Deputy Minister of Economy, where she was responsible for labour and employment policy. Her appointment as Minister of Culture symbolises the continuation of the course towards strengthening the state’s humanitarian policy and strategic communications.
