A new comprehensive service for defenders and their families will appear on Diya

The Ministry of Digital Transformation, together with its partners, has begun testing a new service on the Diya portal, which will combine key services for military personnel, veterans, and families of deceased defenders of Ukraine.

Soon, users will be able to apply online for the status of a person with a war-related disability, the status of a family member of a deceased serviceman, as well as for a one-time cash benefit for the families of the deceased. The new service aims to make procedures simpler, faster and more understandable for all categories of Defenders and their loved ones.

Beta testing is currently underway, in which military personnel — active or retired — as well as family members of the deceased can participate. To participate, you must be a Ukrainian citizen, be authorised on the Diya portal, and have a qualified electronic signature. The system automatically pulls most of the necessary data, and the user only needs to verify the accuracy of the information and sign the application.

The purpose of testing is to check how convenient the new service is and whether the automatic verification and data retrieval work correctly. User feedback will help the Ministry of Digital Transformation team improve the service before its full launch.
