The Ministry of Health is establishing a Council for the Restoration of the Buildings of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt”. This was reported on the social media of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The Council for the Restoration of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Ohmatdyt” will ensure public control over all restoration processes, in particular, it concerns the observance of transparency and integrity in the selection of a contractor for the current repair and interior decoration of the building of the modern medical and diagnostic complex of the hospital.
The Board will consist of 15 members, and its composition will be approved in two stages. At the first stage, the Board will include representatives of the largest donors and organizers of the fundraiser (6 people), the Ministry of Healthcare (1 person), and Okhmatdyt (1 person).
The second stage will include the selection of 7 representatives of public associations and charitable organizations working in the areas of corruption prevention, patient rights protection and healthcare development.
Representatives of civil society organizations will be selected by the staff of the Rehabilitation Council based on the results of the application review and ranking voting.
The call for applications will be published on the website of the Ministry of Health. The selection criteria and application procedure can be found in the Regulations. Representatives of philanthropists will be invited to join the Board first, taking into account the amount of their contribution to the reconstruction and restoration of the Okhmatdyt and their participation in organizing charitable fundraising.
