Vodafone, Kyivstar, and Lifecell users can file a complaint via a mobile app or by calling special numbers. You can also report spam by calling the government hotline at 1545 or by filling out a form on the website of the National Commission for the Regulation of Electronic Communications.
- Vodafone — in the app or by calling: 111 or 0 800 400 111 in Ukraine, +38 050 400 111 when roaming;
- Kyivstar — in the app or by phone: 466 or 0 800 300 466 in Ukraine, 105466# when roaming;
- LifeCell — in the app or by calling: 5433 or 0 800 20 5433 in Ukraine, +38 063 5433 111 when roaming.
The operator has the right to block a number if it meets at least two technical criteria for spam. These include the absence of live communication during a call, short average call duration, many calls to different numbers, inability to call back, use of recorded messages, or numerous complaints from subscribers.
The new rules are aimed at improving protection for mobile phone users and reducing the number of unwanted calls. More details about the blocking procedure can be found on the official website of the National Commission.
