A year has passed since the launch of one of the most emotional digital services in Ukraine — ‘Online Marriage’ in the ‘Diia’ app. During this time, almost three million marriage proposals have been made in the app. More than 44,000 couples have submitted marriage applications, and 17,291 couples have officially married via video link. Among them are 1,522 couples where priority was given to military personnel. Ukrainians have married while in different countries and even on the front lines.
The Diia team emphasises that the digitisation of such important moments not only simplifies life but also symbolises the unity of Ukrainians, regardless of distance and borders. The next goal is to offer even more services that help people value their time and free them from unnecessary bureaucracy.
