On the night of October 10, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using strike drones and ballistic missiles. The main target was the capital, where significant damage to residential buildings was recorded, along with disruptions to electricity and water supply, and injuries among civilians.
Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district was hit hardest: a fire broke out in a high-rise building, and 20 residents were evacuated. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, at least 12 people were injured, eight of whom were hospitalized. A blackout was reported on the city’s left bank, and some buildings are without water due to pressure drops in the network.
Other regions were also affected. In Zaporizhzhia, a seven-year-old boy was killed and several people were injured. In Kryvyi Rih, three men — aged 36, 45, and 53 — were injured. Two of them were hospitalized in moderate condition. In Kaniv, missile fragments damaged a residential building, resulting in injuries.
Rescue services continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack. Energy workers are working to restore infrastructure, and local authorities are urging residents to stay cautious and follow official updates.
