The Ministry of Education and Science launches a “School of Authors” for creators of textbooks and educational programmes

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute for Education Development, has opened enrolment for the “School of Authors” programme. This is a new educational course for teachers, researchers, and specialists who want to create modern textbooks and model curricula.

The programme will help authors understand how to work with state standards, educational concepts, and curriculum requirements. Participants will learn how to integrate interdisciplinary connections, use digital tools, and develop content and assessment approaches. A separate module is devoted to textbook expertise — from quality criteria to anti-discrimination checks.

Training will take place online. Applications can be submitted via the link on the Ministry of Education and Science website.

The initiative is being implemented as part of a joint programme between the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ukrainian Institute for Education Development and World Bank Ukraine LEARN — “Improving the accessibility and sustainability of education in the context of the crisis in Ukraine”. The project aims to support educators who want to update educational content and make learning more flexible and relevant for today’s students.
