After a year and a half of major renovations, the surgical department of City Clinical Hospital No. 8 in Kyiv has resumed operations. This is not just a renovation of the premises, but also a modernisation of the medical space in line with current standards of quality, comfort, and accessibility.
The wards are equipped with ventilation systems, medical staff call buttons, video surveillance and bathrooms. The department has become barrier-free — all its premises are fully accessible to people with disabilities and patients with limited mobility.

Every month, approximately 280 patients are treated here, and over 3,300 people are treated annually. Among them are seriously ill patients and those wounded in combat. The new conditions, safe space, and modern equipment help medical professionals work more effectively and ensure faster recovery for patients.
The total cost of the renovation was 26.5 million hryvnias. An additional 19 million hryvnias were provided as assistance by representatives of the Solidarity Charitable Foundation, who became socially responsible partners of the project.
