From 6 to 12 November, London will become a meeting place for filmmakers from around the world, as the British capital hosts the Women and the World International Film Festival (IFFWW). Founded by Ukrainian women, this year’s festival has assembled a jury of top-level stars.
Among the judges is Oscar and BAFTA winner Peter Strogan, screenwriter of the film Conclave. His participation adds international significance to the event and confirms that the initiative of the Ukrainian founders goes beyond the national context, becoming part of the global film discourse.

The jury also included actor Daniel Ings, known to viewers for his roles in The Gentlemen and The Crown. His work in The Gentlemen brought the actor widespread popularity and recognition among Netflix audiences in various countries.
“IFFWW is about depth and strength, about red lips in the middle of a flash, about resilience when the world is falling apart,” said festival co-founder Ksenia Bugrimova.
Her colleague, co-founder Maria Vinogradova, noted that the participation of such renowned artists in the jury confirms the global significance of the festival. According to her, this is a sign that women’s voices in cinema are becoming increasingly influential and capable of shaping new cultural narratives.
The theme of this year’s festival is “Peace Strategies: Women as Agents of Security.” The programme includes film premieres, discussions, master classes, art exhibitions, and the presentation of the Woman of World Impact Award.
