Ukraine receives additional €170 million for housing programs for displaced people

Ukraine has secured another €170 million to develop housing programs. The agreement on funding was signed in Rome during the URC-2025 conference, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

The funds will be allocated in two directions. The first involves €70 million for the HOME project, which provides compensation for destroyed homes in the form of eRecovery housing certificates. These funds will create another 1,500 certificates, allowing around 4,000 families to purchase new housing. Priority will be given to servicemen and servicewomen, people with disabilities, and large families. More than 7,600 Ukrainians have already received new apartments and houses, and a total of 24,300 families have been granted housing certificates.

The second direction includes €100 million for supporting internally displaced persons. The funding will cover housing, living expenses, children’s education, and community integration. The demand for such programs remains high, as the housing sector is among the most heavily affected. Since the beginning of the war, more than 135,000 Ukrainian families have benefited from the eRecovery program, receiving compensation for repairs, construction, or the purchase of new homes.
