Rescue workers have completed search operations in the city of Odessa following a major natural disaster, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. He said that 10 deaths had been confirmed and more than 380 people had been rescued.
Emergency restoration measures are currently underway. Andriy Danik, head of the State Emergency Service, is working at the site. Rescuers have completely pumped out water from more than 60 facilities, with work continuing at approximately 30 more. The greatest difficulties were caused by flooded underground car parks, where a significant amount of water had accumulated. Almost 130 motor pumps and forces from other regions have been deployed to deal with the aftermath. More than 15,000 cubic metres of water have already been pumped out of the car parks.

Of the 42 flooded shelters, access has been restored to 40 and they have been prepared for use. Work is still ongoing at two sites. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all requests from the public have been processed.
In Slavutych, Kyiv region, more than 50 rescuers worked throughout the night. Five mobile resilience centres were set up there, providing uninterrupted communications, device charging facilities and generators for hospitals and social institutions.
