The “Schoolchild Package” program has already helped 168,653 Ukrainian families prepare their first graders for school. The total amount of payments has exceeded 856 million UAH, underscoring the scale and demand for this state support. At the same time, parents have submitted more than 200,000 applications, proving the relevance of the initiative.
Each family receives 5,000 UAH per child, which can be spent on essential school items such as clothing, footwear, and stationery. This year, the program was expanded: funds can now also be used to purchase books, giving families the opportunity not only to prepare children for school but also to enrich their home libraries.
The list of stores where the support can be used is available on the website of the Ministry of Social Policy. Parents can apply for the program through the Diia app or at a branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The application deadline is November 15, 2025.
The “Schoolchild Package” remains an important form of support for families with children, as it helps ease back-to-school expenses and creates proper conditions for first graders to begin their education.
