People continue to arrive in Rivne region, fleeing Donetsk region due to shelling and destruction of their homes. Since the beginning of August, 28 evacuation trains have arrived in the region, carrying more than 400 people.
Each train is met at the railway station by a team from the Ukrainian Red Cross. Volunteers from the regional organisation and the rapid response team set up a first aid station where people can receive medical and psychological support. Snacks are organised for people, and help is provided to passengers with reduced mobility to get off the train and carry their luggage.

Local authorities and humanitarian organisations emphasise that they are ready to continue accepting evacuation flights. Aid is primarily aimed at ensuring the safety and basic needs of those who are forced to leave their homes.
